I am a woman... do you know what that means? That I'm wonderfully imperfect, and full of complexity. There are many layers to my femininity and you can't begin to love me, until you try to understand me.

Not Without Complications
Last night was insane. First I stayed up until 1 am posting photos and videos on Facebook and brendaschild.com As I finished I thought how exhausted I was, but when my head hit the pillow, it began racing until 3:30am. All of these ideas flooded my brain about what would happen to the characters in the sequel to " Despite Everything". If you've read the book, you'll know what I'm talking about, I leave u hanging with two different subplots. And while I started the sequel "Not without Complications" focusing on a love triangle, I developed all of this background information, and plot twists just laying in bed in the darkness. I mean, it got detailed. So for all of the folks who are wondering what will happen will Toni and Javall, you'll have to wait and see! And what about Karisse and Dionn? How are Kim and Darrel doing? The story picks up just as Dionn and Karisse's son turns one. Will Dionn step up and be a father, or will he be too caught up with Toni? Who will Toni ultimately choose? All of these questions will be answered in next year. However, you can get an excerpt in late fall if u buy the special edition copy of "Despite Everything" coming this fall. P.S See what happens when I have time off? And I've only been free for two days!

Hi Brenda's child,
ReplyDeleteI found out about you this morning on FB because you are having a book signing in PA. I live in NY and would have loved to be there. Based on the work I've seen of yours in the last 30min you are very inspiring. So similar I feel we are. I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother at the tender age of four. I was ripped away from my mother who also nurtured me to the age of four. I was sent to live in numerous foster homes. Because of this like you it is my motivation to write. It has been my therapy ever since I could pick up a pencil. If you every come to NY to have a book signing I would love to come and meet you. God Bless you Brenda's Child continuing to do God's work. You will be able to write full time. I enjoyed checking out your site.
With many blessings,
JulieRoshan
